Frank Habbas Show at The Hen's Nest (Reception)
After a fulfilling commercial art career and seven decades of painting without ever showcasing his work, Frank Habbas is suddenly on a roll. Having presented a very successful first solo exhibition this past February, the nonagenarian is following up quickly with a second solo exhibition at The Hen’s Nest in Washington, CT. In addition to his most recent work which tends to be more abstract, the exhibition will showcase more of his earlier work, reflective of his background as an illustrator.
“My earlier work is more narrative and relatable. I think viewers find it more accessible and that’s really the goal,” says Habbas. When asked why he decided to continue exhibiting his paintings, Habbas replied, “Sharing my work has opened up a lot of interesting conversations. I realize now that I want to share it as much as I can while I’m still here.”
Please join us for the reception on Saturday May 25 (3:00-5:00pm)
The show runs May 1 - June 2, 2024.
